With the weather heating up, it’s time for a trip to the beach! Sandy dunes and fun in the water are a great way to stay cool. There are many fun family activities that you can do, from playing volleyball, building sandcastles, and taking a dip in the water. When you are out in the sun, you are exposing yourself to ultraviolet rays (UV). It damages the skin, creating what is known as a sunburn. This skin becomes red, hot to the touch, and painful.
